Spider-Man No Way home was a huge success, impressing fans and critics alike

Although it has only been a few weeks since the release of Spider-Man No Way Home, Marvel’s latest release has already taken the world by storm. The movie has already grossed over $1.37 billion, earning it a place among the top five Marvel movies.

The third film in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series takes place after a harrowing fight against the villain, Mysterio. Mysterio was defeated by Tony Stark’s drones in Spider-Man Far From Home but not before announcing Spider-Man’s identity as Peter Parker to the world.

In No Way Home, with his identity no longer a secret, Peter struggles to maintain a normal life as fans and critics alike follow his every move. Peter eventually enlists the help of Dr. Strange to solve his problem, but things don’t quite go as planned.

Chaos ensues when a spell goes awry and characters from alternate Spider-Man universes arrive. Several villains, including Green Goblin and Doc Ock, return to the big screen and their previous roles, forcing Peter to show his true colors.

These antagonists, however, were not the only characters to reprise their roles in No Way Home. Fans were especially delighted to witness the surprise return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker from their respective universes.

“I really loved how they brought back the other Spider-Men from the other multiverses and the way the characters came together was so cool. Allowing the different Peters to interact brought a whole new dimension to the movie and series overall,” senior Kennedy Jones said.

Marvel sure knows how to do crossovers, and Spider-Man No Way Home is no exception. After a thrilling experience packed with action and brimming with emotion, Spider-Man kept viewers captivated long after the credits rolled.

“This movie is already one of my all-time favorites! The ending was so surprising and I definitely think it was setting up for more Spider-Man films. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Peter,” junior Maren Hunt said.

After the disappointing showing of Eternals, Marvel needed to hit it out of the park with the new Spider-Man, and they appear to have done just that.

“The trailer set high expectations and it exceeded every one, in fact it was the best Marvel movie of all time,” Marvel Club President, Paul Koch said.

It’s safe to say Marvel finished the year strong with Spider-Man No Way Home, and while theories regarding Spider-Man’s fate are already circulating, only time will tell if Peter is up to the task of navigating his new responsibilities.
