On the hunt for the Golden Ticket
Last week on December 1, the cafeteria began a hunt for a special golden ticket incentive! The challenge goes until December 14 and is a great opportunity for some friendly competition and maybe even free food!
Every day during breakfast bar and lunch, there will be two golden tickets randomly hidden in a food wrapper or container. If you find the golden ticket, return it to the Cafe and you will get a reward! However, students are not allowed to scour through lunches searching for the golden ticket in order to keep the line moving. Many of our Crusaders are excited to buy their lunches and see if they got a golden ticket!
“I think it is very fun and a great surprise. It brings exciting times to the cafeteria. I usually buy my lunch but this time I am looking carefully in the cafeteria for items the cafeteria ladies might be hiding a golden ticket in. After I buy my lunch I rush to my table to see if I received a golden ticket,” sophomore Jack Callier said.
Students are rushing to the cafeteria at the beginning of empower hour, hoping to find the lunch items with the hidden prize.
“I usually bring my lunch but last week I started buying to see if I could find a golden ticket. My friends and I were looking for a golden ticket at lunch and then we talked about the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because he found a golden ticket,” Ellie Curran said.
Several students have already found a golden ticket. Sophomore Christian Weis was one of the lucky winners last week and he was totally surprised when he found his golden ticket.
“I was really confused because I didn’t really know what the game was yet. I had no idea what it was. I haven’t used the prize yet, the ticket is just sitting in my bookbag right now,” Weis said.
Be sure to keep your eye out in the cafeteria for those golden tickets and good luck Crusaders!
