Pro-Life Club’s Passion
Pro-Life Club is one of the many clubs and activities available to students at St. Dominic. There are opportunities throughout the Pro-Life Club to support and defend life, such as the huge Pro-Life March in Washington D.C. in January. St. Dominic is taking 40 students, but there are more than 75,000 people who join the march every year.
Mr. Duncan, the current leader of the Pro-Life Club, chaperoned many trips in the past and saw how much it impacted students’ lives. From there he decided to join at St. Dominic to continue the tradition of educating and inspiring people about the importance of pro-life.
As a club, pro-life mainly focuses on the march every year as their big event. During meetings, members pray, talk about getting involved in more opportunities and work on donation ideas. They also have many guest speakers and do projects like making blankets or raising money for those in need.
Faith Henke, a junior at St. Dominic High School is also a member of the Pro-Life Club. She wanted to become a part of pro-life because she loves to have the opportunity to spread the message of defending life.
“Pro-life is important to me because it is a big part of the Catholic faith, and everyone should get a chance to life this life,” Henke said.
The Pro-Life Club at St. Dominic shows many students that there is a great way to continue to live in the Catholic faith and stand up for the rights of life. They inspire the St. Dominic community to be considerate of others in need and to be thankful for the life they are given everyday.
