Life Hacks With Lexi: Homecoming Edition
With homecoming right around the corner, it’s time for another edition of life hacks! I have the best hacks to make your day extra special and stress free.
Dresses
If you are a procrastinator like me, finding the perfect dress at the last minute is hard, especially if you don’t have time to go shopping in stores. My favorite places to look online are Lulus, Nordstrom and Dillard’s. Be prepared to spend a little bit when you go to these places because the prices are at least $50+. But if you don’t want to spend that much on a dress, I highly recommend looking on Amazon. You can find really cute and simple dresses for as little as $22!
Hair
Personally for me, I am very picky about how my hair looks in pictures, so for school dances I do my own hair. I look on Pinterest or YouTube and search for tutorials for a great look. Or when and doubt, just curling your hair is really pretty!
Acne
The most annoying thing in the world. When I get stressed out I break out. To help, I put a Hydrocolloid Bandage from Walgreens on the blemish. Clean your face and put this on your acne at night and it will clear up! But, if you notice a spot at the last minute and don’t have a lot of time, put a dab of toothpaste on it for five minutes and then wipe off. It will dry up your acne then just cover it with concealer.
On The Dance Floor
Dancing in heels is uncomfortable, so what I have done in the past is buy thick fuzzy socks with grips on the bottom from Dollar Tree or Five Below. This way your feet aren’t black by the end of the night or getting stepped on. I have done this every year and I 10/10 recommend it. Or if you don’t want to wear fuzzy socks, wear Crocs to ensure your feet are protected and they don’t get nasty!
I hope these life hacks can help alleviate all stress on this special day. Have a great homecoming, Crusaders!
