Nutty National Days in April
Celebrating national days is an exciting way to celebrate and recognize these off-beat themes for the month of April. April consists of loads of national days that range from comical and wacky to absurd. Let’s take a look at some of the national days that are going to be celebrated for this spring-filled month.
It is no shock that April 1 is known as the national day of pranks, laughs, and fun. April Fool’s Day is celebrated the very first day of April. April fools is known for being the top day to perform hoaxes and jokes. As well as April Fool’s Day being celebrated on April 1, some peculiar themes are also celebrated this day. National Fun at Work Day, Reading is Funny Day, Burrito Day, Tatting Day, and St. Stupid Day are all acknowledged on April 1.
April 3 includes some of the most questionable days of the month. While work can be an extremely stressful and boring environment, April 3 is Don’t Go to Work Unless It’s Fun Day. Some of the other ludacris holidays involve Every Day is Tag Day, Walk to Work Day, Find a Rainbow Day and International Pillow Fight Day. So make sure your pillows are fluffed and ready for a match!
While Easter falls on April 4 this year, and gives us the opportunity to come together as a family, acknowledge our gifts and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, Plum Pudding Day, World Rat Day, Vitamin C Day and Geologists Day fall into this bright and rejoiceful day of April.
April 11 includes questionable, humorous days like Clean Up Your Pantry Day, Teach Children to Save Day, Submarine Day, Pet Day and Barbershop Quartet Day. Following April 11, on April 12th it is Take Your Parents to the Playground Day is the perfect outlet to get some bonding time with your family. Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day and Licorice Day are also celebrated and are the perfect way to acknowledge salty and sweet!
April 19 is known for enjoying certain hobbies and activities. For example, National Bicycle Day, Hanging out Day and Poker Day are all ways to have a little fun. April 23rd is a day to bring out different accents and language abilities. Talk Like Shakespeare Day, English Language Day and Spanish Language Day are all celebrated on this day.
Finally, April 29 is full of fun to celebrate the end of the month with International Dance Day, Hairball Awareness Day, Poem in Your Pocket Day, Zipper Day, World Wish Day, and International Noise Awareness Day are acknowledged.
While these preposterous days are a great source of laughter and entertainment, it is important to remember how beautiful the simple things are in life. Participating in a couple of these national holidays are the perfect way to burst one’s mood and participate in a day full of fun.
