Bored Baking
Being stuck at home can make for lots and lots of free time. Reading, exercising and sleeping are all good ways to stay occupied, but when all the excitement of these things fade, you can always use this time to find your inner baker.
Muffins and Cakes
To start off your baking career, muffins and cakes are always an easy go-to. I suggest experimenting with different recipes and ingredients, finding a perfect mix and making a delicious masterpiece. Maybe try a unique, crazy sweet and salty mix that no one has ever heard of. Recipes can be found anywhere online, but tweaking one or making your own up could be the best way to go.
Pies
If you want to try something a little more challenging, pies are the next step up. There are infinite types of pie and so much time to try them all. Apple, pumpkin, lemon, blueberry and so many more make for perfect desserts.
In-Store Recreations
Things you usually buy in stores could make for fun experiments. Pop Tarts, Toaster Strudels, donuts and cinnamon rolls are all foods you can make at home rather than going to buy them. Homemade recipes can take the taste from a 5 to a 10, and the fun that comes along with baking them is sure to help, too.
Movie Meals
The final thing to try would be your favorite movie meal. Disney has all sorts of unique feasts, so trying to recreate a Disney masterpiece will definitely be a challenge, but the picture at the end will be worth it. Many people have already tried this out and made dishes like ratatouille from Ratatouille and “The Grey Stuff” from Beauty and the Beast. You could create your own recipe based on what you think it is or look up actual recipes online. Both are great options when you want to make your perfect movie feast.
When you think about it, there are many things to bake during this quarantine. Finding your inner baker may be challenging, but it will make for rewarding outcomes and fun along the way.
