Bring Your PALs to Trivia Night
On March 13 and 14, the St. Dominic Performing Arts Lovers, or PALs, will hold their annual trivia nights, the largest fundraisers for our performing arts department.
The trivia nights are staffed each year by dedicated student and parent volunteers who are committed to supporting the choir, band and theatre programs here at St. Dominic. For them, working at the trivia nights is a way to give back in gratitude for the extracurriculars they love.
“I really enjoy working the trivia nights. I feel good supporting the people that support me in performing arts,” sophomore Jacob Moore said.
Aside from current students, the trivia nights are also a fantastic way to recruit new ones. The Friday trivia night is for grade schoolers only, and inviting them to be a part of our St. Dominic community for a night allows us to show them what our school is all about.
“Working the trivia nights is an awesome experience because you get to feel a sense of community that everyone at St. Dominic has for one another, especially within the performing arts program,” senior Marc Rosner said.
For many incoming students, memories of an awesome event may be the turning point for deciding their future high school, so the hard work of everyone who organizes and runs the events goes a long way.
For those who have left high school behind them, the adult trivia night on Saturday is a chance to enjoy a night out with friends while also supporting our school. Whether you’re an alumnus, a parent or simply a friend, the trivia night is always something you’ll not want to miss.
This year’s trivia nights are no exception, with categories ranging from “Parents of the Century” to “Candy Wrappers,” as well as prizes and raffles. Get excited to combine fun for all ages with an amazing opportunity to contribute to the talented St. Dominic performing arts department.
