18 Years Old? Well… It’s Time to Vote
In the growing division and explosiveness of today’s political climate, many newly-turned 18-year-olds neglect to use their ability to vote. However, those who have turned 18 have both the responsibility and the privilege to create change in our country.
Whether lazy, indifferent or disheartened by the political landscape, many teens nowadays decide against casting their votes when Election Day comes around, even though many of these same teens feel passionate about current issues that face America. If you have any desire to create positive change in your country, voting is your chance!
Some people don’t vote because with the huge population of current voters, they feel as though their vote will not make a difference. This could not be further from the truth. Your country needs you to step up and cast your vote because the votes of all people are what put officials in office and pass laws.
As a citizen of this country, you have the unique ability to sway the direction of our country’s future. Now, more than ever, with a country that is rife with political opposition, you are needed to make your voice heard and ensure that your future is what you want it to be.
For the good of yourself, your country and future generations of Americans, the United States needs you to educate yourself on the issues that divide America and utilize your right to vote. Together, we can choose to have a bright future.
