Trump Troubles About to Kick Him Out of Office
President Trump’s term is about a year away from reaching its end. His presidency has had some ups and downs, but never anything that raised too much alarm or threatened his position. However, even with the 2020 election around the corner, the trouble he’s in may be too much for him to get out of.
President Trump has been accused of urging the president of Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden to help boost his re-election chances. These accusations have come from a man who is called “The Whistleblower”. A whistleblower is a person who exposes any kind of information that is seen as unethical, illegal or incorrect within an organization.
Trump has denied all accusations and is fighting to get his accuser to come out into the public eye. The Whistleblower is protected by The Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989, which states that federal whistleblowers who work for the government are protected from those who they accuse or anyone working for the accused.
Since the accusation has come about, impeachment has been a serious topic of democratic discussion. It is illegal to ask foreign entities for help in winning a U.S. election, which is what President Trump is being accused of. The inquiry that could remove him from office is under way.
Debate about whether the president is guilty or not has been intense. Trump states that he has done nothing wrong and has many supporters to back him up, although his accuser is insistent that President Trump’s call to the Ukraine was illegal.
Trump plans to fight this impeachment with everything he has. All his supporters are ready to stand behind him and fight, while his opponents are knocking at his door, calling for impeachment.
