The varsity boys’ tennis team began their district tennis play Tuesday, May 7 against Saint Charles High. After breezing through that round 5-0, they turned to the district championship against Hannibal.

The boys have had a great season, entering districts with a 10-4 record. This is all thanks to top to bottom great play from the whole roster.

Everybody had hoped for the best coming into their first matchup of districts against St. Charles High and they didn’t disappoint, coming out with an impressive 5-0 rout of the Pirates.

Moving onto the district championship they were given the task of competing against the Hannibal Pirates. Hannibal defeated Duchesne 5-1 on Tuesday to set up a matchup between two very impressive tennis programs.

After finishing the doubles with a 2-1 lead, they breezed through singles with a 3-0 sweep, winning the match 5-1.
