Sadly, the game this past Saturday didn’t end well as the Blues lost 3-2, which led to them traveling to Dallas for two more games. It was evident that they refused to let that bring them down.  With the support of their dedicated fans backing them up as they left for Dallas, the players were confident about hitting the road.  Blue faces, blue jerseys and blue blood can be found in every packed establishment for these playoff games.

Defensemen Colton Parayko expressed in an interview after the game on Saturday that he had high hopes for their games in Dallas. 

“We’re looking forward to going down there. We’re a good road team,” Parayko said.

Binnington echoed what Parayko said with some sentiments of his own.  

“Stick to what we’ve been doing the whole year. Don’t overthink it. Just play our game,” Binnington said.

These words surely got Blues fans excited for the upcoming games. Whether up on the glass at a home game or covering the floors of Ballpark Village, the Blues hockey fans are intense and dedicated to their team. With the hope of bringing home a first Stanley Cup after these playoff series, the encouragement from the fans followed the boys as they hit the road to Dallas. They will continue to wish them luck from home while they anticipate their arrival back to STL after the two games in Dallas. 

The first game in Dallas kept everyone on the edge of their seat. As the Blues went in to a wild third period, they tried to keep their 2-1 lead.

After the Stars tied it up with a shorthanded goal, the two teams went back and forth the entire period scoring goals left and right. But with 1:45 left in the game, Patrick Maroon beat Ben Bishop underneath his arm and gave the Blues a 4-3 lead that would hold up. The win gave St. Louis a 2-1 lead over Dallas in their second round series.

The fans are more hyped than ever and are looking forward to watching the boys play again tomorrow night, Wednesday May 1, at 8:30 before they head back home.
