Wanted Criminal Still at Large
Yesterday, February 26, the O’Fallon and St. Dominic communities were shocked to hear of a disturbing scene at the Mark Twain Mobile Home Court, off I-70 near Bryan Road. Nearly a dozen O’Fallon PD cars and the St. Charles County Regional SWAT Team surrounded the trailer of a wanted suspect after they were called by a woman who had left the home.
The woman reportedly fled the house after a domestic disturbance with 31-year-old Branden Johnson, a Troy, MO resident. Authorities responded to the scene at about 12:30 p.m. and saw a man with a weapon re-enter the home, prompting them to call in additional police units.
After several hours, the St. Charles County SWAT Team entered the trailer, setting off some sort of concussion device to disorient the suspect. Unfortunately, the authorities failed to locate the suspect inside the trailer and he is still at large. Johnson is thought to be armed and dangerous.
Johnson is wanted for unlawful use of a weapon and domestic assault in the third degree. If you have seen or know of Branden Johnson’s whereabouts, please call the O’Fallon Police Department at 636-240-3200.
