The Shack

Delicious and trendy breakfast restaurants are popping up left and right, perfect to satisfy any cravings for the most important meal of the day. Many addicting places are located in St. Louis, but there are local restaurants that are just as sweet.

The Shack

The Shack is a favorite for most, with the creative opportunity to write on the walls of the restaurant. It is flooded with color and memories, which gives The Shack a homey feeling that customers know and love. The restaurant is located on Highway K next to Party City, convenient for any student or faculty member of St. Dominic to visit during a half day. On top of a phenomenal breakfast menu, The Shack also serves lunch for any late sleepers who wish to visit.

First Watch

First Watch is a trendy stop in Mid Rivers. The atmosphere is light and cozy; the smell of freshly cooked food will warm your heart. They serve the traditional breakfast items, but also have different options on the menu. First Watch is the perfect place to try something new. An example is one of their most popular meals: the Chickichanga, which has eggs, chicken, chorizo, green chilies, cheddar and avocado rolled into a flour tortilla.

IHOP

IHOP is a favorite that is always filled with friendly faces and a patient work staff. It is closely located on Highway K and is open almost all day everyday, and 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. The long hours do not restrict the menu. Breakfast items are sold all day; however, if you are not feeling in the mood for a pancake, IHOP sells burgers and other options as well.

Cafe Osage

Cafe Osage is not as close as the other destinations, but it is just as delicious. The restaurant is located on Olive Street in St. Louis. Even if you are not in the mood for breakfast, Cafe Osage is still a great place to eat. Just a few of the items that they serve are eggs, soups, salads and burgers of different varieties and styles. They are very proud of their large amount of vegetarian and vegan friendly meals, as well as their gluten free foods.

Rooster

Rooster is stationed at Locust Street in downtown St. Louis. It serves breakfast and lunch, which gives anyone plenty of time to drive down in time for a bite. They serve the typical breakfast foods with a spin of soups, salads and sandwiches perfect for any day.

Old Town Donut Shop

Craving something more sweet than a couple pancakes? Old Town Donut Shop in Florissant is well known for its donuts. Despite the name, it sells more than meets the eye. Old Town Donut Shop also serves a wide variety of bagels, danishes and muffins.

Whether near or far, the breakfast possibilities are endless!
