Mrs. Bossert in action

Mrs. Bossert, our newest religion teacher here at St. Dominic, has had fascinating experiences throughout her lifetime. Her experience ranges from world travel, to speaking at huge assemblies and even to taking care of chickens. She will certainly bring her variety of skills to our community in amazing ways!

Mrs. Bossert was first introduced to St. Dominic when she was an extended substitute for a sophomore Paschal Mystery class. She felt a special connection to the community that we are so lucky to have here, and the rest is history.

To Mrs. Bossert, teaching is a great opportunity to evangelize and spread the faith that she loves.

“I get to replicate that desire to spread the Good News to every student I teach, so hopefully they will go out and do the same thing, and that’s how we reach the whole world,” said Mrs. Bossert.

Over the course of her life, Mrs. Bossert has been on quite a few adventures. In fact, she made a pilgrimage to Israel earlier this year. Her favorite place to travel to is Mount Arbel. The mountain makes her feel a connection to Jesus as she looks up at it from the Sea of Galilee, knowing that the Lord Himself gazed on the same view 2,000 years ago.

One of Mrs. Bossert’s many talents that helps her to evangelize is public speaking. She was able to share her faith with crowds of people and inspire them to build their relationships with God.

“Whether it’s 20 students in a classroom or 1200 people in an auditorium, it’s that same excitement, that same joy, that same desire to share this Christ that we love,” said Bossert.

Even a speaker as talented as Mrs. Bossert can have a fried brain. With that said, she had a hilarious experience in her Apologetics class after a long day.

It was pretty funny because I was trying to talk about some deep things, and I couldn’t get it out… Today we were doing Pascal’s Wager and I couldn’t get it in the right chart order,” said Bossert.

It goes without saying that after days of pondering deep theology, a brain break is in order. Mrs. Bossert and her family do this by spending time with their pet chickens in the backyard.

Although she loves family time, St. Dominic is a second home to Mrs. Bossert. One of her favorite things about St. Dominic is the opportunity to grow in faith with the rest of our community. Out of all of the many ways to participate in faith here, she has a special devotion to the Eucharist.

“This is really Jesus Christ, and if it’s really Christ coming to us, God is coming within us; He’s coming inside of us, and He made us,” said Bossert.

Even though there are numerous opportunities to grow in faith here at Saint Dominic, Mrs. Bossert has a great hope to bring future Crusaders to the Holy Land itself. She dreams of organizing an ultimate field trip to Galilee — the land at the heart of our Christian faith.

Mrs. Bossert has so much to offer Saint Dominic. It is a great honor to have such an outstanding person as a new member of the Crusader family!
