Long Live the Memories: Taylor Swift Concert Review

Taylor Swift in St. Louis

We tried to forget her but we just couldn’t! The Old Taylor may be dead, but the New Taylor was up and thriving in St. Louis last night.

Her smile lit up the whole town on September 18 as all 60,000 fans at the Edward Jones Dome looked on in awe. From towering snakes to newspaper confetti, Taylor will not let us forget about her twisted form in the media.

As a Taylor Swift fan of 11 years, this night was a dream come true.   Hearing old classics like “Should’ve Said No” and “Hey Stephen” paired with the new hits like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “Delicate” made it feel like a perfect night.

Opening up the tour is Charli XCX and Camila Cabello, who both held their own and made their acts memorable for the anxious Taylor Swift fans.

From the opening song “…Ready For It?” to the closing song “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” Swift filled the stadium with pure bliss and passion. There wasn’t a person in the crowd who didn’t sing along to at least one of Swift’s classics.

One of the highlights of the night was Taylor’s emotional performance of “Long Live,” paired beautifully with “New Year’s Day.” For hardcore fans, this performance felt like a culmination of our long and worthwhile relationship with Taylor.

For me, hearing this meaningful song evoked a kaleidoscope of 11 years of beautiful memories. This sentimental addition to the set list made my concert experience more memorable than ever before.

“Here’s to the moments when we’ve forgotten all about the things that scare us, the things we’re insecure about, and in spite of them, we jumped around together under flashing lights, fireworks, and confetti,” said Swift in the Reputation Stadium Tour Book.

Thanks to Swift, the Reputation Stadium Tour has left me feeling smarter, harder and yet more delicate than ever. Call it what you want, but Taylor Swift had the best performance of all time!
