Sweetener by Ariana Grande

Two years in the making, Ariana Grande’s new album Sweetener has left fans feeling almost every emotion possible. Songs like “no tears left to cry” and “blazed (feat. Pharrell Williams)” provide an instant high, while songs like “better off” and “get well soon” will surely leave the listener in tears. The highlight of this album is the 40-second silence following “get well soon” in order to achieve a 5:22 run time, which is the date of the tragic Manchester shooting last year.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

My my, how can we resist this! The sequel to the beloved hit musical Mamma Mia! has definitely lived up to the original. With fun, comedic moments paired with real emotions, the sequel managed to capture the same sense of wonder and realism as the original. New actors such as Lily James and a surprise feature from Cher really held their own against the classic actors. Lesser-known Abba songs have now taken on a new life with this new generation of musical-lovers.
