A Night to Remember: Senior Prom 2018
It’s Prom season, and you know what that means! Glam, tuxes and of course “Black Tie in the Big City.” With Prom 2018 under the seniors’ belt, here is a quick recap of the night to remember!
The night started off great! With the amazing weather and the beautiful Old Hickory Golf Course, the seniors were preparing to celebrate their last dance as a St. Dominic family.
As the dinner began, so did the night. Students everywhere were taking pictures, mingling and of course dancing! On the small and overcrowded dance floor, the seniors danced the night away.
“Prom was a blast! It was amazing to get to dance the night away with my best friends,” said senior Riley Luetkenhaus.
Besides the crazy and sometimes scary dance moves by the students, the music made sure each person was up and dancing on their feet for one last hurrah!
“My favorite part was singing ‘Sweet Caroline.’ It’s been played at every one of my high school dances, so I was happy I got to dance with all my friends to it one last time,” said senior Caitlin Fleming.
Even with the great dancing skills, we cannot forget about what everyone was waiting for— the announcement of Prom King and Queen. With four couples running, seniors Blake Keuster and Caitlin Fleming stole the night away as they took the crown.
“I was so shocked when I heard my name and Blake’s name get called. I really did not think we were going to win, but it was so much fun! Dancing in front of everyone wasawkward of course but still so fun, and having all my friends run up to me and hug me afterwards was such a cool moment. It will definitely be a night I won’t forget!” said Fleming.
As the night came to a close, the seniors surely made a night for the books along with the bittersweet memories to hold onto forever.
“I’m super sad that it was my last high school dance ever. They’ve all been so fun and I’ve made some of the best memories in high school at school dances,” said senior Grace Pauluzzi.
With Prom 2018 under wraps, the seniors surely made some lifelong memories. Even though their last high school dance is completed, they gained a night to remember forever!
